Joana Celiešiūtė

Joana Celešiūtė graduated from the Kaunas Medical Academy (current LSMU) in 1997. After conducting primary residency practice at Jonava Central Hospital, she continued her studies at the Vilnius University Hospital (Santariškių klinikos) in the Obstetrics Gynecology residency program. In 2002 she acquired a specialization in obstetrician/gynecology and worked in Hospital of Oncology (Kauno klinikos department).

Special interests

Ultrasound examination possibilities in oncogynecological diseases diagnostics, cervical pathology, its diagnostics and treatment options.

In Tautrimas Aštrauskas Clinic, physician performs a general gynecologic evaluation, ultrasound diagnostics, conducts specific tests, appoints necessary medical treatment and provides day-care services.


Physician is a member of:

  • the Lithuanian Society of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (LAGD);
  • Oncogynecology Society.

International experience

Continuous professional development in the various conferences, seminars and postgraduate studies.

Viktorija Ruciene – doctor obstetrician gynecologist

Physician has 30 years of experience, who has worked for 15 years at Kaunas klinikos Oncology Hospital as a gynecologist and an oncologist-radiotherapist. In 2013, V. Ručienė went to Sweden to work as a senior physician in obstetrician gynecologist, but at the same time she’s regularly returning to Lithuania to consult patients at Tautrimas Aštrauskas Clinic.

Special interests

Physician V. Ručienė specializes in oncogynecology, is interested in cervical pathology, gynecological microinvasive surgery, has mastered the highest level of ultrasound gynecology skills.

In Tautrimas Aštrauskas Clinic physician consults for the gynecological pathologist-menstrual cycle disorders, gynecological inflammatory diseases, cervical pathology, changes in the climacteric period, contraception, gynecological endocrinology, uterine myomas, and gynecological oncology. She performs diagnostic and treatment of gynecological diseases, ultrasound diagnostics, cervical cytology and biopsy, introduction and removal of intrauterine spirals.


Physician is a member of the Lithuanian Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (LAGD) and The Swedish Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

International experience

V. Ručienė took traineeship in Germany, Sweden. At the last traineeship, she increased knowledge and practical skills in laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery in a several hospitals.
