Buttock augmentation

Buttock augmentation is a procedure designed to round, accentuate, and slightly enlarge the buttocks. Buttock augmentation can be performed by injection of patient’s own fat (Brazilian butt-lift), or adding special implants.

The volume of fat that can be injected in the buttocks ranges from 200-600 cc. Of course, the greater the amount of tissue transplanted, the less likely it will all survive. Small incisions in between the buttocks are made in order for the buttocks to be enhanced with implants. The implants are placed into “pockets” formed in the gluteal muscles. Finally, the tissues are closed by suturing.

Usually patients get back to work after 1-2 weeks. We recommend patients avoid strenuous physical activity and sitting directly on the buttocks for 3-4 weeks. The cosmetic effect of buttock augmentation is long lasting, but to a large extent it depends on the patient’s lifestyle, diet and physical activity.

Fat grafting is a procedure designed to correct bodylines or enhance parts of the body. Adipocytes can be taken from the patient’s own subcutaneous tissue, so often fat grafting and liposuction are carried out together. Adipose tissue is removed from sites where it occurs in excess (buttocks, thighs, back) and transplanted to sites that require adjustment (breasts, buttocks, facial wrinkles).

Usually patients can return to work after 1-2 weeks. Physical activity restrictions should be followed for 2-4 weeks. The cosmetic effects of fat grafting can last for years or decades, but it greatly depends on the patient’s lifestyle, diet, and physical activity.

“Tautrimas Aštrauskas Clinic” has VASERlipo® – system which uses minimally invasive ultrasound technology for precision body contouring. This technology doesn’t damage roots of nerves, doesn’t destroy lipocytes and improves skin contraction.

Liposuction is designed to remove excess fat from various parts of the body (chin, cheeks, neck, upper arms, chest, abdomen, buttocks, thighs, knees, lower legs, or ankles). This procedure can also form part of fat transplantation, a procedure when the patient’s own fat is taken from one site, processed, and then injected into another location on the patient’s body.

Usually patients return to work after 1-2 weeks. Restrictions on physical activity should be followed for 2-4 weeks. The cosmetic effect of liposuction is long lasting but is greatly dependent on the patient’s lifestyle, nutrition and physical activity.

Abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) is a surgical procedure performed to remove excess skin and fat in the abdominal area and around the waist, and also to correct laxity of the abdominal wall. Abdominal wall laxity and skin looseness is very common among women who have been pregnant or undergone gynaecological surgery. Often, excess skin on the anterior abdominal wall occurs after significant weight change. Cosmetic abdominoplasty can be performed as a stage of body contouring surgery.

Usually patients return to work after 2-4 weeks. Physical activity restrictions should be followed for 1-3 months. The cosmetic effect of an abdominoplasty can last for years or decades, but this is greatly dependent on the patient’s lifestyle, diet and physical activity.
